30+ Year Veteran Trader
With over 30 years of hands-on experience as a trader in stocks, futures, and options, I’ve dedicated my
career to the financial industry. Throughout this journey, I’ve shared my unique strategies and insights
with clients, professional traders, and brokers from around the globe.
My teaching experience is extensive and diverse. I’ve had the privilege of instructing at prestigious
institutions such as the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Education Centers.
Currently, I’m on faculty at Utah Tech University, where I teach courses in stock investing, day trading,
options trading, and my well-known Universal Basic Income (UBI) course. Previously, I taught investment
classes at Utah State University for over a decade and have served as a guest lecturer at numerous other
colleges and universities.
One of my proudest achievements is founding Gecko Software, where I served as Chairman and
chief design architect of the award-winning Track ‘n Trade trading platforms, as well as our
renowned TradeMiner and NewsMiner market research tools.
These innovations were originally designed for our own trading needs but have since become
trusted resources for traders worldwide. I also founded Gecko Financial Services, a boutique
brokerage firm created to deliver safer, more transparent, and cost-effective brokerage services for
clients and their families. (Both companies have since been sold.)
Beyond trading and technology, I am deeply passionate about financial education and publishing. As
President and founder of PitNews Press, I have devoted my publishing house to advancing financial
industry knowledge. I currently serve as Editor in Chief of PitNews Magazine, a digital multimedia
publication launched in 1998. Over the years, I’ve authored several books on trading and developed
popular ‘boot camp’ video training courses covering recurring price patterns, Fibonacci and Elliott Wave
principles, options strategies, and our proprietary indicators—Bulls ‘n Bears and Advantage Lines.
An accomplished public speaker, trainer, and coach, I’ve led live trading seminars for audiences across the
US and internationally, and I am a regular speaker at The Traders Expo and Money Show events. Whether
in the classroom, on stage, or through digital media, my mission remains the same: to empower others
with the knowledge and tools to succeed in the world of trading and investing.
